About Mikron

Family-run. Engineer-owned. We pick up the phone.

Mikron Woodworking Machinery has been designing and building specialty machines from our shop in Renfrew, Ontario since 1995. Moulders, rosette makers, arch forming racks, and commercial-grade barn door hardware — all built and supported by the same small team.

When you call Mikron, you're talking to the engineer who designed the machine.

We don't run a call center. There's no phone tree. The people who answer are the same people who welded the frame, dialed in the tolerances, and packed it on a flatbed for your shop.

That's Jeremie — founder and engineer — and his son Zach. Between them they can walk the shop floor in Renfrew while you're on the line, tell you exactly how your machine was built, and usually troubleshoot a problem in one call.

It's the kind of support that used to be normal for industrial equipment. We've chosen to keep it that way.

What we stand for

Three decisions we made early that we've never wanted to undo.

Every machine pays itself back.

We don't sell catalog fillers. Every Mikron product is designed to bring work in-house that our customers are currently outsourcing — and typical payback is 12–18 months in a working shop.

Build it here. Support it forever.

Every Mikron machine is designed, welded, and tested in Renfrew, Ontario. That means parts, knowledge, and the people who made it are all in one place, indefinitely.

Pick up the phone.

No hold music. No "please submit a ticket." When you call, one of us answers — and we stay on the line until the problem is solved.

Serve specialty shops, not catalog buyers.

We build for the architectural woodworker, the custom door maker, the stair-and-rail specialist — the shops whose work can't be bought off a shelf.

Our story — in brief

1995 — Founded in Renfrew, Ontario.

Jeremie started Mikron with one clear goal: design woodworking machines that specialty shops actually need, and build them where the people who fix them live.

The Arch Forming Rack changes the architectural laminating game.

Mikron's patented form-pin rack becomes the reference machine for architectural laminating — picked up by specialty millwork shops worldwide.

2017 — AWFS Visionary Finalist.

The M652R Moulder/Router — the first horizontal spindle system with an integrated vertical router — is named a finalist in the 2017 AWFS "Visionary" New Product Awards in Las Vegas.

WMIA Partner of the Year.

Mikron is recognized by the Wood Machinery Industry Association — an award voted on by peers in the industry, not by judges.

Today — Built in Canada, shipping worldwide.

Every week, Mikron machines and barn door hardware ship to shops worldwide — and every one is supported directly from the shop where it was built.

We'd rather help you pick the right one than sell you the wrong one.
